Home visits

Whenever possible please come to the surgery but if you are too ill to do so, the doctor or community paramedic may visit you at home. Please telephone the practice before 10:30am if you feel you need a home visit.

You will be asked some questions about your illness and the doctor may telephone you to assess the urgency of the visit. You may of course phone at any time if you need an urgent visit.

Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Medical Centre.
