As a training practice we are involved in the teaching and training of doctors at different stages of their careers. These are either Foundation Year Doctors or GP Registrars. They are qualified doctors who are engaged in their Postgraduate Training Programme with us at Newthorpe.
When seeing one of these doctors, you may be asked for your consent to video the consultation. This is part of the doctors’ training and is only ever used for teaching and training purposes.
We are also involved in Medical Student teaching. As part of their training, they are required to see patients. If you agree to see a Medical Student, they are supervised by a GP from the practice who will oversee your treatment.
